Allison Stokke and Alyce Caron

Allison Stokke, born in Newport Beach in March 1989, is one of the most well-known and wealthy Pole Vaulters. A photo of her in a track event for 17 year olds went viral in 2007 and made her an Olympic pole vaulter. Instagram and Twitter are among her most liked social networks. She is well known track and fields athlete, like Jessica Ennis Hill. According to the Los Angeles Times among others that Stokke was not seeking or advocate for this kind of attention. Brett Hutchins and David Rowe writing in the book Technology Power and Culture in the Network Society Brett Hutchins and David Rowe compared Stokke to the experiences of American female soccer players Alex Morgan and Hope Solo who were sexually portrayed and made fetishized by the media and in a way which the authors believed was demeaning to their achievements as athletes. In their Technology Power and Culture in the Network Society, David Rowe and Brett Hutchins compare Stokke with American soccer players Hope Solo and Alex Morgan whom were considered fetishized. They also noted that social media tend to be offensive. Women from other backgrounds drew parallels with Brandi's sports bra celebration after she won the FIFA Women's World Cup back in 1999. They said that discussions regarding appearance dominated sporting occasions specifically for female athletes. Photos of Stokke performing during New York early 2007, were uploaded to the internet by an Californian journalist working for a track and field website. In May, the photo was then posted by With Leather a sports blog with a large male fanbase commenting on the beauty of seventeen-year-old Stokke under the heading Pole Vaulting is Sexy Barely Legal. Matt Ufford, the owner of the site where the photograph was posted was threatened with legal action by the photographer in the event that the photo wasn't removed. However the article received an enormous amount of attention from other sites and the picture was widely shared. Stokke rapidly gained popularity when a website dedicated to him was made with photos of Stokke doing her thing in her pole vault. Images were then shared via social media to thousands of internet fans. Alyce Caron..............Alyce Caron was born in Houston in the United States in February 1957. She was determined to complete her high school graduation in Florida. Alyce made the decision in 1974 to take a new direction in her career through an internship. Alyce has a sibling who is an accomplished professor. She is a college professor and the family she lives with supports her. Alyce and her family reside in Texas because her father is employed by her in the U.S. Army. Alyce's family celebrated his birthday 92 years before. Alyce is using social media to express her gratitude for his time in the U.S. Army, and to display her beautiful daughter. She also encourages her daughter to focus on education. Her daughter has achieved the National Merit Scholarship from the University, and will celebrate her 22nd Birthday in 2022.
